Shovlin Academy of Irish Dance

Peaceful Forest
Takumi Kato is an award-winning taiko drummer from Japan who now performs with his three children as Peaceful Forest.
Since 2022, they have performed more than 700 times in 41 states while working toward their dream of 1,000 performances across all 50 U.S. states.
Through the power of taiko, they share a message of peace, family, and cultural connection.
Grecian Odyssey Dancers

Isartaler Bavarian Club
Get ready for a taste of Bavaria at A Taste of the Pittsburgh Folk Festival!
We are excited to announce that the Isartaler Bavarian Club Pittsburgh will be performing at this year’s festival on August 1, 2026!
Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the energy, color, and tradition of Bavarian culture as part of a day filled with performances, food, art, and cultural experiences from around the world.
For decades, the Isartaler Bavarian Club has been dedicated to preserving and sharing the music, dance, traditions, and culture of Bavaria and Germany right here in Western Pennsylvania. Their lively performance will showcase traditional Bavarian folk dancing and provide a glimpse into the rich heritage and customs of the region.
DnB Magnets
DnB Magnets is a global collective of artists dedicated to celebrating joy through the universal languages of music, film, and dance. Our YouTube channel serves as a vibrant stage where cultures meet and creativity comes alive. In addition to our performances, we offer instruction in Indian Classical, Bollywood, Folk, and Contemporary dance styles.
Our founder, Geeta, recently received an award for her performances promoting equality and justice.
Geeta and her ensemble have been performing a show titled "Tour De India," which showcases the diverse folk cultures of the Indian subcontinent. We are excited to perform select collections from this show, taking you on a journey through the vibrant traditions of India—no passport required!
Every piece performed during the show will eventually be available on our YouTube channel. We look forward to seeing you there.
Lavjane
An adult performing ensemble dedicated to preserving and celebrating the rich traditions of Carpatho-Rusyn culture. Through the beautiful singing of traditional Rusyn folk songs and the intricate dances unique to the Carpatho-Rusyn people, they bring generations of heritage to life on stage.
Their performance offers a wonderful opportunity to experience the music, dance, and cultural traditions of one of Eastern Europe’s most distinctive ethnic groups.
The Carpatho-Rusyn participation in A Taste of the Pittsburgh Folk Festival is proudly co-sponsored by the Carpatho-Rusyn Society and Slavjane Folk Ensemble.
Hedy O’Beil Art Education Foundation
Hedy O’Beil (1928–2022) was a Polish/Jewish and Austrian sect as well as a lifelong New York City artist whose vibrant abstract paintings earned national recognition. Working in a style she described as “gestural abstraction,” Hedy combined rich color, movement, and rhythm to create captivating compositions. Her work has been compared to the improvisation of jazz and was influenced by renowned artist Willem de Kooning as well as ancient Chinese calligraphy.
Throughout her distinguished career, Hedy exhibited extensively and was the recipient of two prestigious Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grants in 2009 and 2014. She was also an active contributor to New York City’s art community through lectures, art tours, and published art reviews.
Festival attendees will have the opportunity to view and purchase a beautiful collection of Hedy O’Beil’s original artwork. Whether you’re an experienced collector or simply appreciate fine art, this is a wonderful opportunity to take home a truly unique piece from an acclaimed artist.
